St. Louis Today -- Children's book publisher will pay $90,000 settlement

"Scholastic At Home, a publisher of children's books, has agreed to pay $90,000 to the state of Missouri to settle allegations that it sent books to consumers who hadn't ordered them and then demanded payment.

Attorney General Jay Nixon said 242 consumers across the country had complained of getting billed for unordered merchandise.

Scholastic sells Disney Book Club, Winnie the Pooh and Scooby Doo books."
