The Seattle Times: Faith & values: Christian comics growing on youth

Yet another trend in graphic novels and comics that libraries will want to keep an eye on. I would expect that more than a few of us will have clergy in the library suggesting that we purchase these to balance our graphic novel collections.

“Yet another trend in graphic novels and comics that libraries will want to keep an eye on.“ I find your comments insulting. I am quite certain that if the graphic novels mentioned were Buddhist, Muslim, New Age, Wiccan or Pagan, you would have had no problem touting these books under the guise of multiculturalism, expanding our horizons or embracing other’s belief systems.

I am sorry you found my post insulting, I certianly didn't mean to be. If you read the remainder of my post you will see that I mention that these could be used to balance a collection. It is a trend in graphic novels to offer Christian themes. I am not saying that Christianity is a trend, but that these popular formats in are being presented in new ways.

Thank you for the reply. Apology definitely accepted. Perhaps I read more into what you said before than I should have. So I apologize as well. :)
