When I read Eragon, I remembered thinking that it was one of the best books I had ever read. Not only is Eldest even better than Eragon, it builds onto Paolini's world so much that the magic and feeling the reader experiances is overwhelming. I remember multiple times I had to put down the book, said "Wow" outloud and then had to organize my thoughts on what just happened before continuing reading. Eldest had the perfect blend of action and non-action, great characterizations, wonderful emotional scenes (both romantic and sad), a perfect setting, and everything else all good books should have. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

um....interesting...i always thought eragon and eldest was one of the most plagerised books i ever read...not only he lifted much out of Lord of the Rings...he also took the dragons out of Anne McCaffrey's Dragons of Pern....so boo for Inheritance.
yeh yeah, other than the new language and the beautiful scenes he used, what is so great? good action? no, if you can understand lord of the rings...go for that...
good fantasy? dream on...
I only like the prologue and Brom's story and that's all...so beat me
The only thing that i think he accomplished is that he actually simplified the hard fantasies into somehting that will spur children to lust for more books and literature (good fantasies i mean) so that those kids will grow up and write better books that he does.

Eragon and Eldest are the best books I have ever read!I've seen the movie Eragon and can't wait for Eldest to come out. I'm a Lord Of The Rings fanatic and I know every word of all three movies. So I know when I say, Christopher Paolini can compeet with J.R.R Tolkien. If you haven't read the books yet READ THEM!!!!! I demand that you do. If you don't then your a jock who thinks books are for nerds and probably can't read. It's well worth the two days it'll take you to read them. Trust me, once you start reading them you can't stop.

i havent read eldest yet but i can tell you one thing, ERAGON IS A GREAT BOOK. i hate how ppl say he had copied the Lord Of the Rings, when i bet a million bucks that he hadnt even read that book before he wrote this. The language is so unique and it takes a true literary genius to think of such things..i applaud Chris, GOOD WORK.

Wow Eldest is so far my favorite book, even with the Harry potter 7 out eldest still conquers over that, i hope they do make a eldest movie even tho they missed so much in eragon except they should have a better director because i enjoyed the movie but most people hadn't, im also anticpating the arrival of the third book but the title is still not known my idea is since both of the other books started with an E, nd had 6 letters to it it can be EMPIRE, or ENDING, which i hope it isnt ending cause i want the seris to continue for a long time, mail me someone to keep me up to date with this haha thank you people wouldnt consider me a book reader but trust me i read secertly

Well the book was ok but as already mentioned it was Very plagerised.
Being a fantasy wannabe writer myself, i have to critisize how he made Eragon into an elf that is only saying that elves are better than humans and it annihalated any character eragon mauy have developped.
And as for the movie.. it sucked.... they killed the story and Saphoras voice was BAd
Suggestiosn to the author: GO MAKE YOUR OWN WORLD

I really liked this book because it really brought out my imagination and truly made the world of dragons and elves come alive. I have always been sort of an imaginative person and loved mythical creatures like elves and especially dragons and to see the point of view from another person was really cool. Christopher Paolini really created good pictures for the reader so the reader, or atleast i got into it a lot.
